Your reading list, out loud
Text a link.
Hear it as a podcast.
Send any article to Earmark by text. A few minutes later it's an episode in your own private podcast feed, ready for your commute, workout or walk.
How it works
Three steps, then just text.
Sign up with your number
Your phone number is your account. There's nothing to download and no password to remember.
Add your private feed
Add your personal feed to Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts or any podcast app. You only do this once.
Text links whenever
See something worth reading? Text the link to Earmark. It turns up in your podcast app as a new episode.
Why Earmark
Built for the tabs you never get back to.
Works with the app you already use
Episodes go to a standard podcast feed, so playback speed, downloads and queues work just as they do for your other shows.
Just the article
We strip out the ads, menus and sign-up boxes, then add a short spoken intro so you know what's coming.
Private to you
Your feed has its own private link. It isn't listed in any podcast directory and isn't shared with anyone.
Paywall? Paste the text
If a link can't be read, Earmark tells you. Paste the article text into a message instead and it'll be read just the same.
FAQ
Questions
Do I need to download an app?
No. You text links from your phone's normal messaging app and listen in whatever podcast app you already use.
How long does an episode take?
Usually a few minutes, depending on the article's length. We text you once it's in your feed.
Which podcast apps work?
Any app that lets you add a show by its feed link, including Apple Podcasts, Overcast and Pocket Casts. We'll show you how when you sign up.
What texts will I get from Earmark?
Only replies about the links you send (usually two per link) and the occasional account or service notice. Earmark doesn't send marketing texts. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
Is there a limit?
There's a daily limit on how many articles each person can send, which keeps the service fast for everyone.
Who can hear my episodes?
Only people who have your private feed link. Don't share it, and if you ever need a new one, contact us.
